The chairman of the committee on the management of swimming affairs in the Swimming Union, Abdullakh Al-Vakhibi, confirmed the readiness for the start of the Swimming Cup for clubs and academies, the first competition in the new sports season, organized by the Union. The competition takes place today and tomorrow at the Hamdan Sports Complex with the participation of more than 900 swimmers from 100 countries, representing 35 clubs and private academies.
Al-Vakhibi noted that joint competitions between clubs and academies contribute to the support of national teams and ensure strong supremacy for swimmers. The competition is held in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council and organized by Epix Sports, a strategic partner of the Swimming Union.
He stated: "The first competition of the season will be the Swimming Cup, aimed at the continuous development of swimmers, supporting the swimming community, and improving technical skills." "This tournament is specially designed for swimmers who regularly compete and need additional experience and skills to strengthen their sports careers."
The competition includes over 4000 individual races and expects a high level of technical mastery, reflecting the dedication and obligation of swimmers and their trainers. As part of the support for the strengthening of training equipment, the organizing committee will award certificates of gratitude to the trainers for their dedication and commitment to training swimmers and developing their skills.
Also, each participating swimmer will be issued certificates of participation in this competition, which helps support them both in the technical and academic fields. It is stated that official confirmation of swimmers' participation through certificates will improve their future career opportunities, recognizing the importance of providing comprehensive support for swimmers, their trainers, and parents for the development of swimming in the United Arab Emirates.
