
The chairman of the Judicial Commission of the Karate Organization of the United Arab Emirates and a member of the Judicial Commission of the International and Asian Karate Federation Jabir Al-Zaabi announced the participation of 350 judges in the supervision of the championships of the Youth World Karate League, which will take place in Fujairah from February 20 to 23 of this year at the Zaida sports complex.
"The tournament in Fujairah is one of the key stops for young sportsmen (up to 21 years old), where record levels of participation will be set not only for players but also for judging brigades, which will work at the tournament, with a total of 350 individuals. This is also an important event for passing trials, advancing along the service ladder, and obtaining international titles," noted Al-Zaabi.
He explained: "In parallel with the championship, there will be special testing for judges of our country (12 judges in kata, nine in kumite), it is a very important event, as Fujairah 2025 is one of the stages of the World Karate League. This is the ideal moment for promoting our judges to higher levels; the total number of registered judges at this stage is 197 people in kata and 254 people in kumite, totaling 451 judges."
"The tournament offers seven different benefits at the judicial level, such as improving professionalism through the standards of the international championship, helping judges enhance their mastery in accordance with the laws and regulations of the International Federation, as well as strengthening the position of emirate judges at the regional and international levels, and also providing opportunities for development and training through seminars and workshops," added Al-Zaabi.
Jabir Al-Zaabi concluded: "The judging team from the UAE, present at the tournament, includes Mohammed Al-Hassan, Amina Khadji, Anas Manasira, Saber Hamada, Yusuf Kandzhali, Nargis Akhmedi, Mohammed Abu-Aoun, and Raduka."
