Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, conducted a field visit to the Fujairah Petroleum Industrial Zone “Foz” to review the response and handling procedures for the recent fire incident at one of the facilities in the area. He also monitored the efforts of emergency teams and concerned parties in containing the incident and ensuring the safety of vital facilities and the continuity of operations. During the tour, the minister reviewed the rapid response mechanisms implemented to contain the fire, as well as the approved operational plans for managing emergencies in oil facilities. He also assessed the level of coordination between concerned authorities and emergency teams in the area, ensuring the ability to handle such incidents promptly according to the highest globally approved safety standards. The minister was briefed on the industrial safety system, prevention measures, and risk management procedures in the area, as well as the role of emergency teams and concerned authorities in enhancing preparedness and response to incidents, ensuring the safety of workers and facilities and the continuity of operations. The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure confirmed that energy supplies in the United Arab Emirates are stable and operating regularly, noting that the energy system and national supply chains operate with high efficiency and possess a high degree of readiness and flexibility, ensuring the continuous supply of local markets' needs without any interruption. He explained that concerned authorities continuously monitor the situation within a comprehensive national system for emergency management and business continuity, ensuring market stability and the sustainability of vital services under all conditions.
