Fujairah Club Achieves Best Start in Years

Starting from the moment of their descent from the Professional League in the 2021 season, Al-Fujairah Club achieved the best start, thanks to a strong series of results in the current season of the First League. They occupy second place with 23 points (from 11 matches), trailing only the leading Al-Arabi Club by 3 points. Al-Fujairah has a chance to become winter champions, meeting the next weekend at home against "Gulf FC," since the team faces Al-Arabi in personal encounters, and the leader is expected to match with Al-Dhafra in the next round.

"Al-Dhafra" (23 points from 11 games) is also competing for the title of winter champion and can achieve that by winning away against "Masfoot" next week, while Al-Arabi is up against "Al-Hitt" in the last round of the round robin. It is important to note Al-Fujairah's victory over leader Al-Arabi with a score of 1:0 in the 13th round, held on Saturday and Sunday of the last week.

In the other matches of this tournament, "Al-Dhafra" beat "Emirates" with a result of 2:1, "Gulf United" won against "Gulf FC" 1:0, "Hattha" defeated "Al-Jazira" 3:0, and "Al-Hamriyah" drew with "Muj" 2:2. At the moment, Al-Arabi occupies the leading position with 26 points, followed by Al-Fujairah (23), also with 23 points Al-Dhafra, then Dibba with 22 and Hattha with 21.

Al-Fujairah has shown outstanding sports achievements, being the highest since the moment of their descent from the Professional League in 2021, such as gathering 23 points before finishing the first round after two tournaments, scoring 22 goals, which makes them second in performance after Dibba with 24 goals. The team hasn't lost at home or in one match, winning in three away games.

In the list of top scorers, French forward Ben Bicher from Al-Fujairah occupies third place with eight goals, just behind leader Dibba Diego Varias and Al-Arabi Mohamed Diop, with each of them having nine goals.
