Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship Sets Record

The Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship (G2) achieved a significant milestone by breaking the Guinness World Record for the most participants in an international taekwondo event, with 2332 players, including Olympic athletes.

A significant achievement was reached at the international taekwondo tournament in the Emirates Fujeirah (G2), organized by the UAE Taekwondo club, which has been operating for 12 years. The tournament gained global recognition, receiving a certificate from 'Guinness' for setting a world record for the number of participants. In the competitions, 2,332 athletes participated, among which were 10 participants and competitors who participated in several Olympic Games, including the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

According to the official statement from the organizing committee, the championship noted a significant increase in the number of participants, rising from the initial 150 participants to the current number, which emphasizes its high value as a stable event and one of the most significant global sports events.

"This award is a fantastic recognition of our work and the strength of our community. We take pride in having surpassed our own expectations this year and continue to strive for new heights," commented one of the committee members.
