At just 12 years old, Mizoun Essa, representing Fujairah, clinched two international medals in Taekwondo within six days, showcasing her talent and determination. She aims for the upcoming World Junior Championship in May.

Mazun Aysa, a 12-year-old taekwondo athlete from the Fudzhaira club, managed to win two international medals in six days. Initially, she won gold at the G1 Arab Cup, which took place from February 5 to 7 in the sports complex Zayed in Fudzhaira, and then secured silver at the Fudzhaira International G2 tournament, which was held from February 9 to 13 in the same city. She is also set to participate in the upcoming world junior championship, which will take place in May in Fudzhaira. Mazun is one of the youngest participants representing her country in these competitions.

Mazun Aysa revealed that she started practicing taekwondo by chance when, at the age of 10, she attended an international tournament organized by the Fudzhaira martial arts club. The support of her family encouraged her to engage in this sport. Her first participation in tournaments brought her a victory, and she has already won 10 gold medals, which has solidified her passion for taekwondo. She noted that engaging in sports, especially taekwondo, has helped her succeed academically, further encouraging her family's support and leading to more victories in international arenas.

Her training is guided by her Iranian coach Ans Aldarab, who emphasized that Mazun's technical skills and high concentration allowed her to reach new heights quickly and establish herself as a future champion. It is hoped that she has a bright future in sports.

The director of the Fudzhaira martial arts club, Nader Abushaish, pointed out that Mazun possesses qualities found in world-class athletes of her age or older and noted that the club has created high-class training conditions for her. He added that Mazun is among a talented group of athletes that the club is preparing for future Olympic success.
