The competitions for the Vice President of the State Cup for Running resulted in Al-Hatta winning the overall championship for men's teams with 16 points. The club also took first and second places in the individual category. Al-Wasl came second in teams and third individually, while Al-Hamria came third in the team standings.Winners were awarded by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Deputy Chairman of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of several officials from the federation.The first competition of the new season was held last evening on Al-Hafiya Lake in Kalba city. It was organized by the UAE Athletics Federation with the participation of 372 athletes representing 19 clubs and academies.Participants competed in distances of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 9 km in the following age categories: Cubs (boys and girls) under 16 and 18, Juniors and Junior girls (also under 18), Youth and Young Women under 20, and the Open category for men and women.Abu Dhabi's team won the youth women's team competitions, while Kalba club won the youth men's category, with Al-Nasr as the runner-up. Al-Sharjah Sports Club for Women topped the girls' cubs category, followed by Abu Dhabi and Horfakan Sports Club for Women in second and third place, respectively.Abu Dhabi also won the team competition for boys' cubs, with Al-Nasr in second and Kalba in third. The club continued its outstanding results in the tournament by winning the juniors' team title. Al-Hatta secured second place, and Al-Nasr took third.
