Cyclist Mohammed Al-Marzouki of the Turk Cycling Team won the amateur category in the Kalba road race, part of the local league. The race was 66 km long and featured 150 cyclists from clubs under 23, as well as youth, amateurs, and residents. It was held in the city of Kalba and organized by the Cycling Federation. Meanwhile, Turk team manager Zael bin Zael said in a press statement on Monday: "Securing second place in the team ranking and Al-Marzouki's lead among amateurs are the fruits of the players' collective work." He also expressed his appreciation for the support of the sponsoring bodies, which had a significant impact on the team's success. It is worth noting that the Turk team is an Emirati amateur community team founded in 2015 by a group of young citizen cycling enthusiasts to encourage sports participation in general and attract more youth to a healthier lifestyle.
