Kalba FC Appoints New Head Coach

Kalba Football Club has announced the appointment of Iraqi coach Ghazi Fahd Al-Shamri to lead the first team, the 'Tigers', for the current season of the ADNOC Pro League. This decision comes after parting ways with Serbian coach Vuka Radovic due to modest results and a decline in the team's performance. After the seventh round, the team was in fourth place, but by the last round, it had dropped to 11th.

In an official statement, the club confirmed that an agreement had been reached with Serbian coach Radovic to terminate the contract by mutual consent. Previously, Iraqi coach Ghazi Fahd Al-Shamri had coached Kalba in the middle of the 2023-2024 season, leading the team to maintain its position in the Pro League and reach the semi-finals of the President's Cup. Among his achievements was a significant 2-1 victory over Al Ain in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Ghazi Fahd Al-Shamri is considered one of the best coaches to have led Kalba in the Pro League, despite the short duration of his tenure with the team. He also coached Al Ain's reserve team for several years and represented the Iraq national team as a player during his career.
