This growth is driven by infrastructure development, major events, and attracting international hotel brands, solidifying its position as a leading sustainable tourism destination.

The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is witnessing remarkable growth in its tourism sector, a wide variety of services, and increasing competition among companies, making it the fastest-growing sector in the emirate. This is reflected in recreational projects that leverage the emirate's geographical and environmental diversity.The government of Ras Al Khaimah is striving to establish the emirate as a leading destination for sustainable tourism. In 2024, the emirate welcomed approximately 1.28 million visitors, representing a 12% growth in tourism revenue and a 15% increase in the number of tourists within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector. In the first half of 2025, the emirate also hosted a record number of visitors, exceeding 654,000, and is confidently moving towards its goal of attracting over 3.5 million tourists annually by 2030.Furthermore, Ras Al Khaimah was selected as the Gulf Capital of Tourism for two consecutive years (2020 and 2021) by tourism ministers and officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The sixth edition of the "Most Beautiful Winter in the World" campaign, under the slogan "Our Winter is Pioneering," is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in cooperation with relevant tourism, culture, and heritage authorities. It aims to highlight the role of startups in the tourism sector in showcasing the natural beauty and destinations of the emirates.Tourism companies play a vital role in promoting Ras Al Khaimah by offering diverse packages that include mountain adventures, water activities, and cultural heritage, in collaboration with the Tourism Development Authority. This is achieved through digital campaigns, partnerships with content creators, and developing infrastructure to attract tourists and classify accommodations, which enhances the emirate's status as a comprehensive global destination that combines relaxation, adventure, and development.Government entities are also keen to enhance cooperation with adventure companies worldwide, such as Huawei and Open World, as well as major global digital travel agencies. The number of events is also increasing, including the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon, the UAE Tour, the Highlander Challenge, and the first-of-its-kind "J Ride" cycling race.The marine tourism sector in Ras Al Khaimah also enjoys a significant share among enthusiasts of these sports and beach activities. Investment channels, through which many tourism companies operate, include MICE tourism and weddings, which have grown by 36%, driven by luxury weddings, international conferences, and incentive trips.Last year, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority announced major hotel projects by international brands such as Four Seasons, Fairmont, Taj, and NH Collection, as part of a plan to double the number of hotel rooms by 2030, in addition to signing numerous key partnerships to support tourism.
