The events occurred against the backdrop of forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), predicting the formation of cumulus clouds and the likelihood of rain by the next Friday. The forecast is associated with moisture-laden eastern winds from the Oman Sea and mild low pressures. NCM also warned of occasionally strong winds capable of raising dust and temporarily reducing horizontal visibility. It is worth noting that the lowest temperature recorded in the UAE in the middle of the morning reached 20°C at the top of Jebel-Jais in the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah at 12:01 PM. In the Kadrah region in southern Ras al-Khaimah, a rare tornado phenomenon was observed.
