
By 2025, a significant increase in tourism is expected in Ras Al Khaimah, Emirates, with the addition of 950 rooms and 70 luxury villas across four new luxury resorts and hotels. This is part of initiatives aimed at positioning the emirate as one of the leading and innovative tourism destinations in response to anticipated future demand and the ability to attract visitors from different countries around the world.
Among luxury resorts and hotels, the following are expected to open in Ras Al Khaimah next year: The Coral Island Resort with 441 rooms, The Westin with 257 rooms, The Rotana Mangrove with 258 rooms, and Saij Lodge, part of the Mantis group, which will become a luxury residence with 70 luxury villas for a unique luxury experience, focusing on nature.
The Vice President for Tourism Development in Ras Al Khaimah, Yad Rasbi, noted that Ras Al Khaimah will continue to expand its investment portfolio in the hospitality sector with over 7,000 additional hotel rooms in the coming years, aiming to reach a total of more than 14,000 hotel rooms in the emirate by 2027.
Currently, Ras Al Khaimah comprises 56 hotel properties from renowned global brands, offering over 7,800 rooms across various categories, ranging from 5-star to 3-star hotels, to provide guests with a diverse range of hospitality experiences.
Ras Al Khaimah offers a wide selection of hotel offers as the winter season approaches, which annually marks an increase in demand for bookings, making Ras Al Khaimah an ideal destination for both international and local tourists for enjoyable vacations.
The emirate allows visitors to enjoy unique tourist offerings thanks to its enchanting nature, diverse activities, and events suitable for all ages.
Ras Al Khaimah provides a wide range of different events during the ongoing winter season - from international forums and conferences to sports, cultural, and artistic events, also encompassing unique attractions.
New Year celebrations are among the most significant tourist events in Ras Al Khaimah, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to enjoy the unique fireworks in the sky above the waterfront between Coral Island and the Al Hamra community.
Tourism constitutes 5% of Ras Al Khaimah’s total gross domestic product and aims to increase this share to a third while attracting over 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030.
