Three new pharmaceutical factories are set to be established in Sharjah, focusing on respiratory medications, eye drops, and more. The project, with a combined investment exceeding AED 308.7 million, is expected to enhance the pharmaceutical industry significantly by 2026.

As part of the development of the pharmaceutical industry of the Emirate of Sharjah, three new factories are planned to be built, which will complement the existing pharmaceutical enterprise in the region. These facilities will specialize in the production of various products, including medications for the treatment of respiratory disorders, eye drops, antibiotics, medicines for gastric disorders, and first aid products.

The first factory will be focused on the production of eye drops and inhalation products. Investments amount to $44 million, with construction completion scheduled for the end of 2026. The second factory will occupy an area of 10,000 square feet and will be dedicated to the production of antibiotics and medications from gastric disorders.

News about the construction of three pharmaceutical factories on the territory of Sharjah was presented at the 13th International Conference on Pharmacy and Medicine (ICPM 2025) in Sharjah. According to information from the WAM agency, the construction of these factories is already in full swing, and their completion is expected by the end of 2026.

The third factory, with an investment of $35 million and an annual production capacity of 600 million capsules, will begin operations in 2026. This factory, with a cost of $5 million, will specialize in the production of first aid products. The start of construction is scheduled for the end of the current year, and completion is expected in early next year.
