In the initiative of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi from the Emirate of Sharjah, it is confirmed that pensions for retirees will be established at no less than 17,500 dirhams, ensuring a decent standard of living, starting from February 2025. An important point is the decision to continue providing additional assistance to the families of deceased pensioners, regardless of whether they worked in government, federal agencies, the administration of other emirates, or the private sector, so that support does not cease after the departure of the main breadwinner.
Additional assistance will be paid starting from February 2025, with retroactive payments calculated from the date of cessation of its provision to the family of the deceased pensioner. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah, announced the intention to hire 500 citizens for various government positions in the cities and regions of the emirate.
The launch of a program for the payment of additional subsidies to the heirs of deceased pensioners, registered in the emirate of Sharjah, has also been announced.
