His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has unveiled a special financial assistance program designed to support families in need. The initiative is aimed at elevating the quality of life for families under the care of the Social Services Department, setting a target monthly income of AED17,500.
A total of 2,114 families residing in Sharjah will be the recipients of this grant, given that their current earnings fall below the specified amount. The program is estimated to require a budget of AED134.45 million and will commence the distribution of funds from January 1, 2025.
"Ensuring the well-being of all our citizens is a top priority," stated His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. "This financial aid is meant to provide essential support to families facing economic challenges, allowing them to lead more dignified and stable lives."
The initiative reflects the Ruler of Sharjah's commitment to fostering a caring society wherein every individual has the opportunity to thrive and prosper. "By implementing this program, we aim to alleviate financial burdens and improve the overall welfare of families in need within our community," Sheikh Sultan added.
