The Director of the Department of Economic Development of Sharjah, Hamad Ali Abdullah al-Mahmoud, emphasized that the emirate has a multitude of economic components that effectively contribute to stimulating economic growth in the emirate and attracting both local and foreign investments. He confirmed that the strategies for sustainable development and economic development plans in the emirate at different levels receive support from Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah. He laid the foundational principles of the economic development model and sustainable growth, making the emirate competitive and economically diverse, which distinguishes Sharjah.
