Moody's expects a slight improvement in Sharjah's financial performance in 2025 compared to recent years, supported by strong land sales revenue and continued growth in recurring revenue from fees, amid strong activity in the real estate sector and the general economic movement in the emirate and across the UAE. Moody's agency concluded its periodic review of Sharjah's ratings and other related ratings, explaining that the emirate's sovereign credit ratings, including the Ba1 issue rating, are based on the relatively high individual income in the emirate, in addition to the credit advantages resulting from its membership in the United Arab Emirates.
