Sharjah Investment and Development Authority 'Shurooq' has signed a strategic partnership agreement with 'Shurooq' to launch a new network of smart screens in several key destinations across the emirate, marking one of the most significant projects to update the digital infrastructure of 'Shurooq's' destinations and support Sharjah's move towards adopting smart city technologies. Under the agreement, 'Shurooq' will be responsible for deploying and operating a new generation of interactive digital screens designed for outdoor spaces, which provide instant information, enhanced navigation, and real-time updates, alongside a continuous display of events, activities, and tourist attractions, contributing to the development of how visitors and residents access information within 'Shurooq's' destinations. The project represents one of the largest transformations in the smart media infrastructure within the Authority's destinations, as it relies on integrating modern communication solutions supported by accurate data and transparent analytics, enabling government entities, commercial partners, and the public to access a more advanced and efficient urban communication system. 'Shurooq' will oversee the project's implementation from start to finish, including installation, technical operation, and 24/7 monitoring, as well as integrating a range of smart units such as traffic updates, weather conditions, instant alerts, and other interactive components that support security and quality of life in public spaces. The first phase of the project includes a number of vital locations, most notably: Al Qasba, Al Khan Beach, Al Hamriyah Island, Khor Fakkan, alongside other high-traffic sites.
