The CEO of Sharjah Book Authority, Ahmed bin Rakad Al Amari, confirmed that Sharjah views international exhibitions as platforms for establishing sustainable knowledge partnerships, not just as occasions for display. His participation in the New Delhi International Book Fair reflects Sharjah's commitment to expanding cultural cooperation with Asia and opening up to established publishing markets with a rich civilizational history and growing influence on the global scene. Sharjah Book Authority concluded its participation in the book fair, which was held from the 10th to the 18th at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in 'Pragati Maidan' in the Indian capital of New Delhi. Al Amari added: "The Authority's participation in the fair comes within a long-term cultural vision led by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and is based on the belief that the book and the publishing industry form a fundamental pillar in building the human being and enhancing dialogue between civilizations." He pointed out that what Sharjah offers today to the international publishing sector is an integrated system that extends from training and capacity building to developing legislation and infrastructure, culminating in providing an advanced professional and investment environment, in line with the directives of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority Board of Directors, who worked to cement Sharjah's status as a global platform for cultural dialogue and the book industry. He explained that these efforts aim to empower publishers as effective partners in cultural development and build cross-border cooperation networks that enhance the global presence of Arabic literature and open new avenues for intellectual exchange and integration among various cultures. The Sharjah pavilion witnessed a remarkable turnout of visitors, who viewed the publications of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, in addition to publications from the 'Kalimat' Group and a number of participating cultural entities within the Sharjah Book Authority pavilion, which reflected the interest of the Indian public in Arabic literature and publishing projects emanating from Sharjah.
