The «Made in Sharjah» area, as part of the ninth edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2026, taking place on January 31 and February 1 at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park, reaffirms its position as a strategic platform that celebrates local innovation. It highlights products manufactured in Sharjah within a local entrepreneurial ecosystem. This area serves as a dedicated space to showcase products developed by founders within the emirate, reflecting their ability to transform ideas into tangible products. This opens up avenues for networking with partners and customers, enhances the visibility of local products in markets, and contributes to their growth within the economic ecosystem. The «Made in Sharjah» area is supported by Sharjah Bank and the Sharjah Businesswomen Council. It offers an interactive program led by founders, combining hands-on experience and direct engagement through specialized workshops. These include a pottery workshop using the coiling technique, a workshop on making polymer clay jewelry, and a «Heritage in Pixels» workshop for creating miniature accessories, alongside a product exhibition. This aligns with the festival's mission to support local production and emphasize the role of founders in building projects with economic impact. Sarah Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), stated: «The 'Made in Sharjah' area reflects the emirate's vision of empowering local entrepreneurs by providing a practical platform that showcases their work and products, supporting their presence in the market. This area is part of a comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem focused on boosting local production and ensuring economic continuity, which reinforces the role of existing projects in creating a tangible economic impact, reflecting the maturity of the entrepreneurial landscape in the emirate». Meanwhile, Mariam bin Sheikh, Director of the Sharjah Businesswomen Council, said: «Our collaboration with Sheraa underscores our commitment to supporting projects led by women and enabling them to effectively contribute to the emirate's economy. Through this partnership, founders can move from idea to execution, build effective partnerships, and access platforms that support sustainable growth, ensuring the full integration of council members into Sharjah's and the UAE's entrepreneurial ecosystem and their future growth trajectories».
