
The committee organizing the 13th Sharjah International Forum for Athletes with Disabilities announced the details of the upcoming event, where representatives from 16 countries will participate. The announcement took place at a press conference held on Monday at the Centro Sharjah hotel, attended by the president of the UAE Paralympic Committee Mohamad Fadel Al Hamli, the president of the Advisory Council for People with Disabilities Dr. Khalid Omar Al Madfa, the president of the Dubai Federation of the Disabled Tani Juma Belrady, the president of the Federation of Western Asia for the Disabled Abdulrazzaq Belrashid, and the executive director of the Al Ain Club for the Disabled Saif Al Naimi.
Regarding the upcoming forum, the president of the Advisory Council for the Disabled Dr. Khalid Omar Al Madfa confirmed the club's readiness to host the event: "Delegations have begun to arrive, and we are fully ready to organize yet another exceptional forum, which has become a prominent event in the world of athletics for people with disabilities."
Dr. Khalid Omar Al Madfa expressed gratitude to Sharjah Sports Council for their support and direct involvement in organizing the International Sharjah Forum and also thanked all sponsors and media for their assistance and contribution to the success of this sporting event, which starts on February 2 and concludes on the 4th of the same month.
The chairman of the technical committee of the trust club, former champion of the Paralympic Games Mohamad Al Kaid, stated that this event represents an important opportunity to discover a number of talents, especially considering that the forum includes 70 different competitions. He explained: "At the moment, 181 participants are registered, and this number could increase; we consider that the level of participation is extremely high this year, especially with the participation in the competitions of leading sportsmen in the world."
