
The administration of the Sharjah Prize for Arabic Poetry unveiled the theme of its fifth session, which is titled "Cultural and Artistic Trends in Contemporary Arabic Poetry." The Cultural Affairs Department of Sharjah announced the opening of registration for interested individuals in the critique of Arabic poetry in accordance with the conditions and provisions of the Prize. Muhammad Ibrahim al-Kassir, the director of the Cultural Affairs Department in the Sharjah Department of Culture and the Secretary-General of the Prize, stated: "The Prize is moving towards a new and renewed season with a significant theme for critique, continuing to work on establishing a cultural value, where Arabic poetry is evaluated by Arabic critics to consider and analyze the changes occurring in Arabic poetry." He also noted that the Prize contributes to the creation of a specialized critical library related to the participating members, who will participate in subsequent sessions. The Prize proposes awards for the winners of the top three places. The first place will receive 100,000 dirhams, the second 75,000 dirhams, and the third 50,000 dirhams.
