Between the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and strengthening ties that transcend geographical boundaries and span across time, while highlighting the role of Shardja as a key living center on the Route of Spices, we underscore the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and strengthening connections that surpass geographical borders and traverse time.

At the gala evening, Sheikh Fakhim al-Kasim delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of exhibitions in strengthening cultural and diplomatic ties between Shardja and Rome. He remarked that this exhibition highlights the importance of common heritage in fostering connections between civilizations. The organization of the exhibition in the very heart of Rome reflects Shardja's vision for preserving human heritage and presenting its cultural narrative in a contemporary context that enriches interactions.

Aisa Yusuf, the General Director of Shardja's Department of Archaeology, presented a lecture titled "From Shardja to Rome on the Route of Spices", where he talked about the role of Shardja as a primary trade and cultural center in ancient times. He highlighted the historical connections between Arab ports and Italian cities, showing how Shardja became a key point on the Route of Spices, through which caravans and merchant vessels transported valuable goods from the Arabian Peninsula to the Roman ports of the Mediterranean.

The mandated obligation of Shardja's Department of Archaeology preserves this historical legacy; it also emphasizes ongoing research and studies that facilitate mutual understanding between cultures.

Kazem al-Holi al-Suveida, the director of cultural heritage management in Shardja, presented a report on "Cultural Heritage of Shardja", where he explored the historical depth of the emirate through its archaeological finds.

The highlighted event included an ambitious program consisting of a series of lectures and historical shows. In turn, Sheikh Budur al-Hasim emphasized that the exhibition reflects the preservation of Shardja's historical and cultural legacy, inviting all to support the understanding of common heritage.

All of this vividly demonstrates the ancient history of Shardja as a cultural and trading center on the ancient Route of Spices through the presentation of rare artifacts, interactive media, and representative exhibitions reflecting the significance of the geographical and cultural location of the emirate.
