
Yesterday morning in the Al-Brair area, Sharjah, Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah, opened the Falconry Club. The Sultan of Al-Qasimi unveiled a memorial plaque, marking the official opening of the club, after which he toured the administrative building, including the conference room, the training center with simulators for piloting planes and unmanned aerial vehicles, the library, administrative offices, and rooms for falconry retreats. The Sultan acquainted himself with the exhibition, where the main tools for falconry, the latest equipment, and those used in various competitions were presented.
While interacting with students participating in the club’s training programs, the Sultan learned about the theoretical lessons and simulators with the latest systems and technologies that allow for training falcons and honing their skills. At a meeting with the president and members of the club's board of directors, the Sultan discussed plans for the future of the club and also the initiatives aimed at achieving successes and titles in local and international competitions.
Having approved a project for increasing the bird population, the Sultan thus reaffirmed the measures for ensuring a natural habitat for birds, facilitating the process of breeding, raising, and comprehensive care for various species, as well as defining the surrounding area of the club as a preserve, where soldiers can engage in falconry in a secure environment suitable for training. The board of directors expressed gratitude to the ruler of Sharjah for the tremendous support, which contributed to the club’s achievements of successes and titles in competitions, providing amenities and modern facilities, helping to shape a new generation, enriched by the breeding of birds and the falconry business.
