
The second conference of medical libraries, organized by the OAA in collaboration with the Association of Specialized Libraries of the Persian Gulf, begins today at the University of Sharjah. The event aims to strengthen cooperation between medical libraries, share knowledge and ideas, as well as expand the network of librarians and deepen professional interactions between them.
Conference participants will discuss recent innovative solutions contributing to the development of future medical libraries. The main focus will be on assessing the current state of medical libraries from the perspective of their organization, access to information and technologies, as well as the services provided.
Organizers expect broad participation of experts from the OAA and other countries, who will discuss ways to strengthen the role of medical libraries in supporting scientific research and education. The conference will also present best practices and examples of successful work of medical libraries, as well as developed plans for their further development and modernization.
