As part of the Sports Tournament organized by the Sharjah Sports Council, a championship in swimming took place, which turned out to be a great success. Many talents were discovered, deserving of attention and support. A total of 124 swimmers from 11 centers participated in the competitions: Kalba, Khorfakkan, Wadi El Helo, Al Hira, Al Qurain, Al Khalidiya, Al Riqqa, Al Dhaid, Al Bataeh, Al Thumayd, and Maliha.
The winners were Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al Mutaawa, president of the Dibba-Al-Hisn club; Hamid Al Shamsi, president of the Al Hamriya club; Salem Muhammad bin Hwaidan, president of the Al Dhaid club; Dr. Muhammad Abdel Razek and Fauzia Latfi, representatives of the 'Kids of Sharjah'; Jasem Al Duhai, head of the individual sports department of the sports administration for sports and development issues; Hassan Al Taumi; Samir George; and Tarek Busnina, experts in sports fields in the administration.
