The 12th Sharjah International Library Conference concluded, bringing together over 400 global specialists to discuss the digital future of libraries. Topics included AI applications, digital environment development, and the importance of international cooperation.


12th Sharjah International Library Conference Concludes

The 12th Sharjah International Library Conference, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority in cooperation with the American Library Association, has concluded. The event brought together more than 400 specialists from 30 countries and was held concurrently with the Sharjah International Book Fair. The conference featured a series of sessions and professional workshops that discussed the development of knowledge environments and adapting to digital transformations in library management.

The sessions covered multiple key topics, including customer relationship management in university libraries, teaching and communication methods in high-impact digital libraries, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in technical services and school libraries.

Mansoor Al-Hassani, Director of the Publishing Department at the Sharjah Book Authority, stated that the conference served as a vibrant platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation between academic and public libraries worldwide. He added that the Authority, led by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, believes that international cooperation is the key to developing library services and enabling them to support humanity and society.
