As part of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, a unique artistic evening was held. The Union of Writers and Literary Figures of the UAE hosted an evening titled «Poetry and Water», featuring poets Yaser Duhair and Najat Al-Zahiri. The artist Sumaya Buhashim also performed on the qanun. From the very first moment, the hall transformed into a space where poetry met music, and voice met rhythm, giving the audience a complete sensory experience that transcends the limits of traditional recitation. Yaser Duhair presented contemplative and emotional texts from his collection «On the Edge of Paper», exploring the connection between poetry, memory, and absence. Poetess Najat Al-Zahiri captivated the audience with her delicate humanity and optimism in poems such as «The Poets' Moon» and «Like All the Poor». Musician Sumaya Buhashim accompanied the poems with a live qanun performance, turning the words into a melody that the audience interacted with, alternating between silent listening and grateful applause.
