Samira Ben Hamza, Head of Community Activities, emphasized that this participation aligns with the club's mission to showcase its members' talents and provide them with a platform on major cultural stages. The workshop featured Aisha Al Shamsi from the motor skills category and Fatima Sabil from the hearing impairment category, whose combined work embodied the transformation of determination into an art form that speaks of beauty. The artists began by sketching preliminary designs before Aisha started her live painting journey, using her mouth to hold the brush to vividly render a small statue of a person contemplating a stack of books in oil paints—a powerful visual expression of reading as an act of consciousness and reflection. Beside them, Bilal Al Mardini, Head of the Drawing Center at Dubai Club for People of Determination, offered enthusiastic support, expressing pride in their participation and the drive and perseverance it demonstrated. In a moving human moment that reflects the beauty of will and the spirit of creativity, the Sharjah International Book Fair hosted a free painting workshop titled "The Importance of Reading," led by two artists from Dubai Club for People of Determination. This initiative reaffirms Sharjah's vision of promoting cultural inclusion and empowering talents from all walks of life. Meanwhile, Fatima opted for graphite and charcoal to create a piece reflecting the impact of reading on shaping imagination and building thought, her lines resembling a page opening up to vast creative possibilities.
