Poet, writer, and traveler Dr. Faisal Al-Suwaidi revealed that his upcoming literary project will be in travel literature, based on the idea that the world is full of stories, and there are similarities and differences among humans that deserve to be highlighted.
He added during the session "Travel Literature and its Role in Embodiment of Place Memory," organized as part of the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair: "Arab travel literature is still rare, and this is what pushed me to embark on this experience." He explained that his numerous travels were the inspiration and the first motivation to start his next literary project.
He said: "When I thought of venturing into this literary field, I began traveling to different countries to get to know their culture, ideas, and social structures." He pointed out that travel alone does not make a writer, and although there are seven benefits in traveling, as Arabs say, the foundation is reading.
