The Sharjah Public Libraries organized a dialogue session titled "The Language of the Dragon: How to Read Chinese Literature in Arabic?", presented by translator and writer Yara Al-Masri as part of the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair. The Egyptian translator began the session by speaking about her experience in translating Chinese literature, highlighting the challenges faced by translators, and concluded with the signing of her latest publication, a translated collection of poetry from Chinese, published by "Rawayat" belonging to the "Kalemat" Group. Yara affirmed that discussing the similarities and differences between Arabic and Chinese literature is a broad topic addressed by specialized studies, considering that what distinguishes Chinese literature is a hidden thread connecting the past with the present; China is very contemporary, yet at the same time it is linked to its history.
