The twelfth edition of the Sharjah International Travel and Tourism Exhibition kicked off on Wednesday under the theme 'New Trends in the World of Tourism'. The event is organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority in strategic partnership with Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) at the Jawaher Exhibition and Convention Centre. The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Central Finance Department, along with several other dignitaries, officials, and representatives from government and private tourism sector entities and various media outlets. The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a speech by Khaled Jasim Al Madfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Authority.
