Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (SHURUK) has announced a New Year's Eve 2026 celebration program in collaboration with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. Fireworks displays, each lasting 10 minutes, will be launched at three main locations: Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Hamriyah Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach. The emirate of Sharjah will bring together residents and visitors for an unforgettable experience.
This year's festivities span six diverse locations, combining waterfronts, natural islands, and the vastness of the desert. The program also includes Light Island, the Sharjah Boats project, Mleiha National Park, and its gardens. This single experience reflects the diversity and uniqueness of Sharjah, offering ample space for families and visitors to welcome the new year in a complete celebratory setting.
The New Year's celebration will take place on the evening of Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 8:00 PM, culminating at midnight when the Sharjah sky will be adorned with fireworks. The events are free and open to the public, starting from 8:00 PM.
At the Al Majaz Waterfront overlooking Khalid Lagoon, visitors will experience a festive atmosphere combining captivating fireworks, dancing fountains, and live entertainment, alongside a dining experience offered by over 20 local and international restaurants and cafes in one location.
Al Hamriyah Beach, stretching 3.5 kilometers, offers a family-friendly celebration on the waterfront, where fireworks integrate with entertainment and open-air ambiance. It also provides an opportunity to dine at 18 restaurants and cafes offering a luxurious beachfront dinner to suit all tastes.
In the eastern region, along a 3.5-kilometer stretch, Khorfakkan Beach welcomes the new year amidst a natural landscape where the beach meets the mountains. Fireworks are accompanied by various entertainment activities, with the chance to dine at 22 sea-facing restaurants and cafés, giving visitors an experience that combines natural beauty with a festive atmosphere.
Light Island hosts a beachfront dinner with a view of the fireworks at Al Majaz Waterfront, as well as a stargazing experience in the emirate's sky.
The Sharjah Boats experience offers guests a special boat tour to watch the fireworks from the heart of "Khalid Lagoon," departing from Al Majaz Waterfront at 11:30 PM.
Mleiha National Park hosts the "New Year's Eve under the Stars" event, running from the evening of December 31, 2025, until the morning of January 1, 2026, providing a complete desert experience combining camping, entertainment, and culture.
