The Sharjah Cultural Chess Club kicked off its first student event of the new 2026 season with 350 students from the American School of Scientific Creativity in Sharjah. This is part of the club's strategy to promote chess and discover talents in schools, connecting students with the 'game of the wise'. The event was attended by Tarik Mutar, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors, Hisham Taher, General Secretary of the Asian Chess Federation, and Adel Al-Mumayri, Vice President of the Kuwait Chess Federation. The event included introductory workshops on chess and its educational and pedagogical importance, as well as the distribution of souvenirs, aiming to enhance the chess culture.
