Shards University of the American University has announced the launch of a sports scholarship named after Rashid bin Hamid, the first of its kind. Students of the university, demonstrating active involvement in sports and showing good results, can apply for this scholarship.
This grant will begin awarding students starting from the autumn semester of the upcoming academic year. Its purpose is to support sports talents and encourage students to engage in sports activities. The scholarship program is named in honor of Rashid bin Hamid, who is one of the most famous sportsmen in the UAE.
Professor Kevin Mitchell, president of the university, expressed delight regarding the launch of this sports grant and emphasized the importance of developing sports among students. "This grant provides students with the opportunity not only to develop their athletic abilities but also to achieve new heights both in sports and academics," noted the professor.
