The Arabic language store in the Emirates celebrated the completion of training for 11 Italian students who studied Arabic at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. As part of the program, the store organized linguistic, cultural, and tourist events to strengthen the skills of guests in the Arabic language, familiarization with living culture and history of Sharjah. This has become part of a larger cooperation program of the store with international academic institutions within the framework of a strategy to strengthen the position of the Arabic language in the world, the development of teacher training skills, and the affirmation of Sharjah as the capital of Arab culture.
Dr. Mohammed Safi al-Mustagani, the general secretary of the store, directed the students in his message: "The Arabic language belongs to those who live in it. Immersion in the language and linguistic interaction are key to its perfection. My advice to brothers and sisters is reading. If you have a book, you live the culture of this book and its author, you derive benefit from its ideas, live its life, and learn. Intermediary immersion is realized when a book becomes a companion on journeys and excursions, in travels and experiences... I congratulate you on the completion of your training and wish you even greater success and achievements."
Khaled al-Hajari, the general director of the university's homeland, expressed happiness upon the completion of the training of the delegation, addressing the Italian students: "In our Arabic culture, whoever spends three days and three nights with us becomes our family, and therefore you are our hosts and we are your guests. We are happy to have you as selected students who have begun to study Arabic in the store."
