The football club "Sharja" has recently made a bet on strengthening stability, both technically and administratively, for the first team. This was achieved through the signing of long-term contracts with key players, who positively contribute to the team's performance, which is currently leading the championship with 37 points, ahead of "Shabab Al-Ahli" by two points (they have a match today against "Dibba Al-Hisn").
Currently, the composition of "Sharja" includes 12 players with long-term contracts, including goalkeeper Adel Husni until 2026, as well as three players: Kaio Lucas, Khalida az-Zinhan, and Luana Peira until 2027. The contract with Majeed Rashid is valid until 2028, as well as contracts with Markos Miloni, Osmon Kamara, and Al-Hassan Saleh, extended until 2026.
Regarding foreign players, the contract with Tunisian Fares Ben Arabi is for three seasons from 2023 to 2026, the contract with South Korean Im Je-Joo has been extended for two seasons until 2026, and the contracts of Croatian Darko Niamicha and Serbian defender David Petrovich are also effective until 2026.
Extending contracts with key players is an important factor for the team's stability, especially after the players showed brilliant results and performed at a high level, unlike the previous season, which saw a significant drop for key players from "Sharja". This season, the team has returned to its brilliance and has achieved victories and positive results in various tournaments, especially in the "Adnok" championship for professionals, where the players stood out with their unique achievements and achieved outstanding results, confirming their high playing level, traditionally attributed to "Sharja" since the beginning of the current football season.
According to the words of the club director Badra Ahmed Al-Hamadi, extending contracts with many leading players is a positive moment for any team. He emphasized that, "extending contracts with key players and important members of the training and administrative staff contributes to technical stability.
He also added that for players whose contracts are nearing completion, there is a special technical committee that evaluates the conditions of their contracts, and then makes decisions about extending or terminating their cooperation with them. Furthermore, the club management and technical committee, led by Ali Tani, actively seek new players for the team together with the main trainer of the team, Koshmin, and they best understand the team's needs in players.
Regarding the signing of a contract with former player "Nasra" Adel Taarabt from Morocco, Badr Ahmed noted that Taarabt is a valuable player for the team and is certainly able to integrate into the "Sharja" collective, which will help him adapt more quickly and become a strong support for the team in the next stage.
