Sharja Sports Academy for marine sports, organized in the USA, earned two prizes during the International Awards 2020. It was recognized as the best in the world in two categories. Nick Glasgow, president of Bridgestone Tyres, presented the award to Sharja's captain, Ali Salm K. Al Kitiri. The captain expressed his gratitude for the award, highlighting the importance of this achievement for all of Oman and acknowledging its significance. He said: "It is always nice to see special interest and support from international experts, and being recognized as the best in the world was an unexpected but pleasant surprise."
