Shabab Al Ahli Coach Praises Player Performance

It was very pleasant to watch my players perform in the match against Al-Sharjah, said Paulo Souza, the coach of the Al-Ahli youth team after the match in the framework of the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions Cup. He noted that the team created many moments and deserved the victory. Souza emphasized that the players of Al-Sharjah spent a lot of time playing defensively, but at the same time expressed his best wishes in the remaining part of the Asian tournament. In the semifinals, they expect to meet the Saudi club "Taawun" in April.

The match between Al-Sharjah and Al-Ahli became one of the most intense matches of the season. It ended with Al-Sharjah winning in the penalty shootout with a score of 5-4 after a 1-1 draw in both regular and additional time. It is worth noting that the first game also ended in a draw with a score of 1-1.

"I think we should be proud of our players," said Paulo Souza for 'Emirates Today'. "We put all our effort on the football field in the two matches, created many moments, and played real football. We are a team that strives for real football, and this gentleman was realized. We created moments, scored goals, found solid positions on the field, although in the match against Al-Sharjah it did not work out well."

"I believe that we were not only deprived of possession with solid positions on the field during the game, because the ball constantly went out of bounds, while Al-Sharjah's team slowed down, consuming a lot of time. But this is part of football, and we must accept it. We did not lose in the main and additional time of both matches, we were the better team, more often creating moments and approaching the goal, but sometimes such things happen in football."
