The manager of the football club "Al-Bataeh", Adnan Muhammed Al-Huli, believes that football tournaments held over the many years in the blessed month of Ramadan have contributed to the organization and development of futsal competitions in the country officially. He noted that these tournaments have stimulated interest from clubs in this type of sport, which has gained high popularity and artistic significance at the UAE level. The coach expressed gratitude to the Football Federation and the Futsal Committee of the Sports Council of Sharjah for their important role in strengthening and supporting futsal.
Al-Huli emphasized that previous futsal matches during Ramadan, and also recent official championships, contributed to his sporting development as an experienced coach, starting from the moment of completing a playing career in the club "Al-Shabab" on the grass field. He noted that there has been greater interest in futsal training than in training on open fields.
Al-Huli specified: "I have traditions that I follow in Ramadan every year, including visiting the holy places of Mecca and Medina in the first days of the month, prior to the start of religious competitions." He also added: "In Ramadan, I participate in many tournaments organized at my workplace, and also in community tournaments, fulfilling organizational obligations or following talented players with the aim of inviting the best of them in the future to the "Al-Bataeh" team, as well as to provide assistance in their development."
The coach noted that he feels happy to help young players who are at an early stage of their careers, both from a moral and social perspective. Al-Huli emphasized that special attention this month is given to family gatherings, which is a valuable opportunity for collecting the entire family, usually absent in other months due to sporting obligations.
The coach acknowledged that despite his past in sports, including weekly training sessions and various diets that include traditional Arabic food, his weight tends to decrease during Ramadan. He also mentioned his experience as an assistant in the national futsal team and the complex moments related to qualifying matches for the Asian futsal championship.
Al-Huli emphasized that he feels pride in his achievements as a coach in the "Al-Bataeh" club, including victories in many matches held in the month of Ramadan, and also the recent first place in the Hurfakan tournament and in other religious tournaments.
