Opinion of the former head coach of the national football team, analysis by Dr. Abdulla Musafir, about the state of the football club Shardja. As is known, the club is currently in a state of decline due to the heavy load of matches, especially at the local level in the Professional Football League, and in the upcoming final of the President's Cup against the main rival, the club Shabab Al-Ahli.
Nevertheless, according to Musafir, this does not affect the team's performance in the upcoming match against the Singapore team Lion City, which takes place on the 18th in the final of the "Asian Champions League for Clubs 2", as Shardja strives for victory in this Asian tournament for the first time in its history.
Musafir noted that the Shardja coach, Rumin Kostmin Olaru, is reasonably active in the remaining matches of the Professional Football League after Shabab Al-Ahli has already won the championship. It would have been possible for Shardja to really strive in the League and risk losing both titles - the President's Cup and the Asian Champions League for clubs, which is considered a strategic mistake.
Abdulla Musafir emphasized in his interview for "Emirates Today" the importance of Shardja being fully prepared for the upcoming match against the Singapore team and did not discuss issues related to problems on the field, where the final of the Asian Champions League for clubs 2 will take place, as this would concern both teams.
The former coach added: "Shardja must be ready for the match in any conditions and avoid obstacles, so that this is not said about the players, considering that the team can encounter other problems during the game, such as rain, weather, etc."
He also noted that the team is facing a reduction in performance lately, having lost matches to the Al-Nasr and Al-Wahda teams, while maintaining a win over Ajman, and currently has 45 points in the League.
In conclusion, Musafir noted that everyone is firmly convinced that the championship in the UAE is practically assured for Shabab Al-Ahli, which currently leads by a large margin over the nearest superiors, including Shardja, and it is important for the players to be in full physical and technical readiness at this finishing point of the football season.
