Sharjah coach, Milos Miloevic, confirmed that his team's 1-3 loss to Al Ain at home in the first leg of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup quarter-final, held on Saturday evening, is not a good thing. He pointed out that "The King" (Al Ain's nickname) paid the price for a poor start to the match.
Milos said during the post-match press conference: "Sharjah did not start the match well, and that is a fact. We faced problems with small details that have been accumulating since the beginning of the season, and although they are minor, they have a significant impact on the team's performance."
He added: "In the second half, we came back better, managed to score a goal, and were close to adding another, but the match ended 3-1, and that is the reality of football."
The Sharjah coach stressed that the encounter is not yet over, saying: "There is still another match in Al Ain, and we will try to correct our mistakes and prepare in the best possible way for the return leg."
