A well-informed source told «Emirates Today» that Sharjah Club is close to signing a contract with former Al Wahda manager, Portuguese José Mourinho, to replace the previous coach, Milos. The official announcement regarding the new manager and the contract details is expected in the coming hours. Mourinho left Al Wahda unexpectedly, even though the team currently holds the second position in the ADNOC Pro League after eight rounds and has qualified for the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League. The team has shown a remarkable level of performance since the beginning of the current season. Mourinho is currently considered one of the best coaches in the UAE league, based on the positive results he achieved with Al Wahda. It is worth noting that Sharjah Club had terminated the contract with its previous coach, Milos, and the task was temporarily assigned to the national coach, Abdulmajid Nammur. Earlier, Al Wahda Football Company had announced in an official statement that the departure of coach Mourinho was based on his personal request.
