Sharjah Football Company has announced the signing of Portuguese coach José Mourinho to lead "The King" until the end of the 2026-2027 season. The new Sharjah coach boasts an impressive resume and extensive coaching experience, having worked as an assistant to Portuguese manager José Mourinho at Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Chelsea, in addition to leading Arab and Asian clubs.
Mourinho, who recently ended his association with Al Wahda after achieving notable results with them, will replace Serbian coach Milos. Abdulmajid Al-Numer had been temporarily in charge of "The King" until now.
Ibrahim Saleh: "We considered Sharjah's interests during the negotiation process. We negotiated with Mourinho after his contract with Al Wahda had expired, not before."
