The national basketball team will face a special match tomorrow at 1:00 PM against a team of foreign professionals from various clubs. The match is part of a celebration organized by the Federation on the occasion of World Basketball Day, at the Al-Bataih Club hall.
The celebration will kick off at 10:00 AM with the third gathering of junior teams (4x4) in newly introduced competitions by the federation. This will be followed by a technical workshop for referees and coaches at 12:00 PM, leading up to the national team's match against the professionals. The event will conclude at 2:00 PM with the final of the junior teams (4x4) competition.
In other news, the Sharjah team continues to top the basketball league following their victory over host Al-Wasl with a score of 100-70 the day before yesterday, during the 10th round of the preliminary stage. Meanwhile, Shabab Al-Ahli returned from the Nasr club's hall with a well-deserved victory, scoring 101-73.
Sharjah has boosted its points tally to 19, just one point behind second-placed Shabab Al-Ahli. Nasr has dropped to third place with 17 points, while Al-Wasl maintained its fifth position with 14 points despite the loss.
