The winter camp organized by the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club has kicked off at the club's hall, with the participation of 120 players. The event will continue until January 4. The camp also includes cultural activities. It will feature a classic chess tournament from December 22 to 28, as well as a training camp for all talented players in the club, under the supervision of Hungarian international coach Peter Leko. Peter Leko is also overseeing the preparation of International Grandmaster Salem Abdulrahman for the World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship, scheduled to take place in the Qatari capital of Doha from December 26 to 30. Additionally, the coach provides direct training sessions for the club's talented young players.
