Obaid Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Club Board of Directors, confirmed that the club's football company is striving to retain team player Marcos Miloni by renewing his contract, describing the player as one of the team's cornerstones. He also noted that the matter will be resolved soon. Al Shamsi explained that there is a specific ceiling for the negotiation process with the player regarding his contract renewal, which cannot be exceeded, while emphasizing the club's management's insistence on not letting him go. In an interview with "Al-Ittihad", in response to a question about the fate of Miloni's contract renewal amidst circulating news of his proximity to a transfer to one of the clubs, Al Shamsi said: "The football company of Sharjah Club is very keen on Miloni's stay, but there is a certain ceiling for negotiations that cannot be exceeded." Marcos Miloni is considered one of the most prominent players in the UAE League in recent period, having presented distinguished levels with Sharjah as well as with the national team, becoming an influential element in either the national team's or the team's squad. It is worth noting that Sharjah Club had renewed Marcos Miloni's contract in November 2023 until 2026, with the club having contracted the player in August 2019, coming from the Brazilian club Palmeiras.
