New Judo Referees Training Course Opens in Sharjah

The Judo Federation, with the support of local authorities, has organized a two-month course for 25 new referees. The goal is to train them on the current rules and prepare them for the competition season.


New Judo Referees Training Course Opens in Sharjah

On Saturday, in the hall of Sharjah Club for Martial Arts, a course for the training of new judo referees was opened, organized by the Federation in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council and Sharjah Club for Martial Arts, with the participation of 25 trainees. The course is supervised by international referee Ahmed Suleiman Al-Balushi, head of the Referees Committee of the Federation, who conveyed at the beginning of the first meeting the greetings of the President and members of the Federation's Board of Directors. The course will last for two months at a rate of two days per week. It aims to introduce new referees to the latest developments in refereeing and the latest amendments to the laws of the game, recently approved by the International Judo Federation, with the aim of applying them during the current season's competitions.
