Faras Al-Arabi: Sharjah's Season is Full of Challenges

Sharjah player Faras Al-Arabi confirmed that his team's season is full of challenges after the «King» faced difficulties and changes at the coaching level, in addition to some players not reaching their usual level, despite 13 rounds of the league championship. In press statements after Sharjah's 3-1 victory over their guests Khor Fakkan yesterday in the 13th round of the ADNOC Professional League, he said: «The players met together after the defeat in the 12th round against Bani Yas, and they vowed to achieve a victory to correct the course, which they managed to do by reconciling with their fans by winning against Khor Fakkan». He added: «The match against Khor Fakkan was a message to the fans, we want their presence and support, because they give us a great motivation, and we as a team admit that we did not always present the required level, but with their encouragement, we promise to fight in every match». With this victory, Sharjah took a big step away from the relegation battle in the league. Sharjah's goals were signed by Luana Pereira in the 9th minute, and substitutes Harib Abdullah in the 79th minute, and Faras Al-Arabi in the 82nd minute, while Khor Fakkan's only goal came through Renny Rivas in the 39th minute. Thus, the «King» raised his balance to 14 points, advancing to ninth place, while Khor Fakkan's balance froze at 16 points in seventh place. On his part, Khor Fakkan's coach, Serbian Vuk Radovic, said that his team does not deserve the loss due to the wasted opportunities, adding: «We presented an ideal first half, and we had the upper hand, in terms of possession and wasted chances, unlike the second half in which we retreated».
