Japanese rider Ren Tarami from the Kinan team won the second stage of the 11th Sharjah International Tour. He was followed in second place by Marcin BudziĆski from the Hungarian Mbank team, and third by Eddy Vanheule from the Malaysian Terengganu team. The second stage, held on Saturday and named 'Jebel', covered a distance of 129.56 km, starting from the Jebel market in Sharjah and ending at the Jebel market in Kalba. The stage was highly exciting and brought new heroes to the forefront, different from those seen in the first stage. Ren Tarami donned the yellow jersey as the leader of the general classification, sponsored by the Sharjah Police General Command. He also received the green jersey for the best average speed, sponsored by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, and the red jersey for the best climber, sponsored by the Sharjah Municipality. The white jersey, sponsored by Sharjah Sports Channel for the best rider under 23, was won by Almar Bofker from the 'Emirates JXD' team, collected on his behalf by his teammate Abdullah Jasim. The UAE flag jersey, sponsored by the Sharjah Sports Council for the best Emirati rider of the stage, went to Rashid Albalushi from the UAE national team. Tomorrow, Sunday, at 11:00 AM, the tour will resume with the third stage, 'Al Hair', covering a distance of 9.81 km, starting and finishing in the town of Al Hair. On the sidelines of the stage, a parallel race for disabled athletes, 'Against the Clock', for wheelchair 'H' and special bicycle 'C' categories, and another race for youth will be held, both starting at 9:00 AM.
